2. Tel: Again

Dan Whipple reports… I used the following formula on my 8310 (v4.5.0.110) and it worked like a champ…

Tel:8666578888×2188888#,,*,8888#,1 (note “x” after dial in number).  Also had to switch to “Wait for: My Response” (in Phone > Options) to make it work.

It’s always weird to hear that a company is announcing that it will make an announcement, but Microsoft is announcing that Windows Mobile 7 will make its grand official appearance at the MIX 2010 conference in March 2010.  The new OS is rumored to have a Q3 2010 launch.  Unwired

9. WinMo Marketplace Shows OS Fractures

The mere handful of apps in Windows Marketplace for Mobile shows the downside to a business model like Microsoft’s: users have the luxury of choosing the phone design they prefer, but it comes with limitations in interoperability.  InfoWorld

10. Windows Marketplace Open to More Devices

A second take on the same topic… Microsoft is making its 800-application Windows Marketplace available to a wider audience of Windows Mobile users. 16. Your Cell Phone Could Be a Germ Breeder

With the flu and cold season upon us (not to mention the H1N1 scare), recent findings offer a harsh reminder that our mobile devices are considered a main culprit for collecting and spreading germs.
